Position SummaryAs our Controller, you'll play an instrumental role in overseeing all accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing strategic insights to inform decision-making. Collaborate with senior leadership and help us maintain financial integrity as we grow our business. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & ReportingOversee day-to-day accounting functions: AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, job cost accounting, and insurance.Prepare accurate, timely financial statements (monthly, quarterly, yearly).Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure GAAP compliance. Budgeting & ForecastingLead our annual budgeting process and create rolling forecasts.Provide financial projections to support business strategy and growth. Cash Flow & BankingMonitor cash flow and maintain excellent banking relationships.Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage financing arrangements.✅ Compliance & AuditAct as the go-to liaison with external auditors for reviews, audits, and tax filings.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.Oversee insurance compliance and audits across all departments. LeadershipSupervise and mentor accounting staff (if applicable).Set departmental goals and key performance indicators. Your QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA and/or MBA preferred).5-7 years of progressive accounting experience (construction industry a plus).Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles (WIP reporting & revenue recognition).Skilled in Excel and construction accounting software, particularly Sage.Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
