What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events Specialist position at Lease & LaBau, Inc.?
As of May 25th, a collaborative law firm seeks an Events Specialist to support the marketing and business development team with the planning of client events, seminars, and other engagements. Responsibilities include:
- Managing and executing a high volume of events, including overseeing all day-of operations as well as handling pre-event strategy and post-event follow-up.
- Tracking budgets, coordinating arrangements for presenters, and cultivating relationships with vendors.
- Utilizing marketing systems to create and organize materials and communications, including invitations, handouts, signage, and gifts.
- Tracking attendance, deadlines, and deliverables and providing regular updates to team members throughout the planning process.
- Working with on-site personnel and the catering team regarding menu selection, entertainment, and layout.
- Gathering feedback from participants and identifying ways to enhance future outcomes.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of corporate event planning experience.
- Ability to exercise strong communication skills, diplomacy, and discretion when interacting with attorneys and clients.
- Availability to work overtime, evenings, and on weekends as needed.
- Ability to manage independent assignments while demonstrating strong project management and organizational skills.
- Established relationships with New York City venues and vendors.
