Electrician

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Electrician in West Melbourne, FL. The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings to ensure safety and functionality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety procedures, the ability to read technical diagrams, and experience working independently or as part of a team in the West Melbourne area.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20 to $35 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

• Install, bend, and remove conduit to accommodate wiring needs for various electrical projects.
• Interpret and work directly from blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect it to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including conduit, lighting fixtures, electrical panels, and switches.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions to ensure system reliability.
• Ensure all electrical work is performed in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Coordinate with team members and supervisors to ensure project timelines and specifications are met.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in electrical installations, supported by an apprenticeship or equivalent background.
• Possession of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and essential hand tools.
• Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and safety protocols.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the West Melbourne, FL area.
• Ability to work dependably and punctually both independently and as part of a construction or service team.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions independently.

Physical Requirements:

• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and poles frequently.
• Must be physically capable of pulling heavy wires and cables through conduits.
• Ability to work in inclement weather conditions and around wood dust or fumes.
• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring correctly.
• Awareness of and adherence to OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $20 to $35 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
