A growing healthcare organization in San Antonio is seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join their team in a direct hire capacity. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering closely with leadership to support employees and drive HR initiatives.
Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the Senior HR Generalist will play a key role in employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, leave administration, and HR compliance while serving as a trusted advisor to managers across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary HR contact for employee relations matters, conducting workplace investigations and providing guidance on appropriate next steps
Partner with managers to provide practical HR guidance on day-to-day employee issues, including corrective action, documentation, and disciplinary decisions
Proactively source and recruit candidates for clinical and non-clinical roles across Central and South Texas
Manage HR onboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, policy review, and employee setup
Administer employee leaves, including FMLA, ADA, and workers’ compensation
Ensure HR practices remain compliant with federal and Texas employment laws
Qualifications:
8+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience, including recruiting
Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
Strong background in employee relations and investigations with the ability to advise managers confidently
Demonstrated experience directly sourcing candidates and managing recruitment efforts
Experience working in a lean HR team environment with broad responsibilities
Bilingual (English/Spanish) – required
Knowledge of federal and Texas employment laws
HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR) preferred
