The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral and psychiatric support needs.
We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking individual as a Maintenance Repairer 1-2 to assist in the daily operation of the duties of the Area Maintenance Department on the Pinecrest Supports and Services grounds.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR
Six semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Plumbing: Repair and install commodes, lavatories, water fountains, and garbage disposals. Unstop sewer lines and drains, repair leaks, and repair / replace faucets.
- Electrical: Repair light bulbs. Repair / replace ballasts, receptacles, switches, and fans. Replace motors, pumps, etc.
- Appliance Repair: Repair washing machines, dryers, ice machines, and refrigerators.
- Carpentry: Repair doors, door closers, hinges, cabinet doors, knobs, baseboards, cabinets, furniture, door stops, windows, etc.
- Refrigeration: Performs preventive maintenance and maintenance on a/c units and air handlers. Clean coils; work on pumps to air handlers, motors, chill water valves, controls, belts, and filters.
- Keep a check on hot water temperatures and maintain a log.
- Run and service generators and maintain a log. Inspects fire extinguishers monthly and maintains a log.

Location: PINECREST SUPPORTS & SERVICES CENTER.
Department: LDH Area Maintenance
Work Schedule (Position 1): 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday - Friday PASS DAYS: Saturday / Sunday
Work Schedule (Position 2): 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Tuesday - Saturday PASS DAYS: Sunday / Monday
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Maintenance Repairer 1, or Maintenance Repairer 2.
Appointment Type: This position may be filled by probation, promotion, demotion, lateral transfer, detail to special duty, or job appointment. Preference may be given to employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.
Salary: Depends on Qualifications
