Central Louisiana State Hospital, located in Pineville, Louisiana, is seeking applicants for a vacant position in our Maintenance Department as a Maintenance Repairer Master who manages construction, maintenance, and repair activities at one or more facilities.
The Facility Maintenance Manager B plays a vital role for the Louisiana Department of Health in the Behavioral Health community by utilizing CLSH’s values and mission to deliver quality and effective care to our patients, and ensuring our facilities are maintained accordingly. The hospital is highly committed to cooperative work with other state agencies and with the state and regional mental health program to ensure the integration and coordination of hospital-community services into a comprehensive system of mental health care.
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR
Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering plus one year of experience in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR
Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses plus one year of experience in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Assists in the inspection and approval of the work of contractual employees at the direction of the maintenance foreman.
- Provides functional supervision to lower-level Maintenance Repairers in their daily job duties.
- Surveys assigned jobs and ensures sufficient and proper materials, supplies, and tools are on hand to complete daily job tasks.
- Be knowledgeable of the requisition and purchasing process to maintain proper materials and supplies.
- Responds to emergency calls and on-call duties to ensure safety and the smooth operations at CLSH.
- Performs a variety of Maintenance duties, including but not limited to carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mobile equipment operations, ground maintenance, welding, locksmith, etc. & assists Maintenance Repairers in daily job duties as needed or directed by the Maintenance Foreman.
- Assists in building, grounds, and mobile equipment inspections to determine various types of repairs or maintenance needed.
- Ensures that all work orders and pm work orders are completed and turned in within the allotted completion date.

Compensation: This position has a minimum hire rate of $ 1,684.00bi-weekly and may be eligible for on-call pay.
Weekday/Nights on call pay-$2.15 hourly
Weekend/Holiday on call pay- $2.25 hourly
