This position is in the central communication hub, managing high-volume calls, routing calls to departments, paging staff, and managing emergency codes.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Operate multi-line switchboard and other phones. Take call-ins from employees unable to report for work, log on absentee report form, and in log book. Answer emergency phones and call or page appropriate doctor and /or nurse to respond, record in log book. Transfer all other calls to appropriate departments, homes, or offices.
- Monitor fire panel. Call home or office to verify fires or false alarms.
- Notify fire department of alarm status and log information on fire alarm form.
- Monitor weather during bad weather also monitor satellite weather channel on TV. Notify homes and department of hazardous weather conditions to ensure the safety of individuals supported at PSSC.
- Document in and out time on trip sheets. Issue cell phones to vans going out on trips and doctor appointments.
- Direct visitors, deliverers, officials and emergency personnel by serving as information center. Contact security for escort when necessary. Prepare and maintain Conference Center for various meetings, including emergency center, by ensuring area is clean, orderly and any requested items are available.
- Requisition supplies, medical and office, and the storage and disbarment of those supplies. Maintain overtime attendance records for Employee Administration. Assist Administrative Supervisor 1 with clerical duties as needed.

Appointment Type: This position may be filled by Probation, Promotion, Demotion, Lateral Transfer, Detail to Special Duty or Job Appointment. Preference may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.
