Employment Defense Attorney
Location: Beverly Hills, CA (Hybrid)
A well-established and respected California law firm is seeking an Employment Defense Attorney to join its growing Beverly Hills office. This opportunity is open to attorneys with 0–6 years of employment litigation experience, making it an excellent fit for both junior associates seeking strong mentorship and experienced attorneys looking to advance their careers.
Responsibilities
- Defend employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters.
- Handle cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and PAGA claims.
- Manage cases through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, and trial preparation.
- Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and communicate directly with clients.
- Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on litigation strategy.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar membership in good standing.
- 0–6 years of employment litigation experience (defense experience preferred, but strong litigation backgrounds will also be considered).
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $300,000 Base annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
