Title: Insurance Defense Attorney (Employment Law)
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all phases of insurance defense litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediation, trial preparation, and trial.
- Defend employers in employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage & hour, leave, and other workplace-related claims.
- Represent insurance carriers and corporate clients in general liability, professional liability, and insurance coverage matters.
- Analyze insurance coverage issues and assist with coverage disputes and bad faith/extra-contractual claims.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of litigation experience required.
- Strong background in Insurance Defense and Employment Law.
- Experience defending employers in employment litigation.
- Experience with General Liability, Professional Liability, Premises Liability, Product Liability, Transportation Liability, and Insurance Coverage matters is preferred.
- Knowledge of bad faith and extra-contractual claims is a plus.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000, based on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are also eligible for a $70 per hour bonus for all billable hours worked beyond 1,800 annually.
