Latitude is partnering with a respected law firm client to engage a skilled Real Estate Transactions Attorney with strong homebuilder experience. This position is dedicated exclusively to real estate transactions in the homebuilding space and is ideal for an attorney who thrives on high-volume, detail-oriented work in a collaborative environment. The role offers a long-term, full-time engagement with immediate start, providing consistent and specialized work in real estate development and homebuilder matters, with strong potential for extended tenure. Responsibilities
Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $140,000 to $190,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract roles is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. Latitude contract professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week. Benefits-eligible Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.

Responsibilities
- Draft purchase and sale agreements and lot contracts
- Prepare closing documents
- Review and resolve title and survey matters
- Draft and prepare homeowners association documents
- Draft easement agreements and other ancillary development documents
- Handle matters strictly within the real estate/homebuilder scope (no unrelated practice areas)
- J.D. and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (NC preferred)
- Significant experience with homebuilder real estate transactions—either at a law firm or in-house with a homebuilder
- Strong general real estate experience, particularly in transactional and development-related work
- Demonstrated ability to manage contracts, closings, and development documents independently and efficiently
- Willingness to focus exclusively on real estate/homebuilder work as outlined above
- Type of role: Engagement
- Schedule: Full-time (35–40 hours per week)
- Commitment: Long-term assignment expected; initial 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension for the right candidate
- Start Date: ASAP
- Location: Raleigh, NC (4-5 days in office)
