Job Summary Business Analyst (Florida Department of Commerce)
- Act as a liaison between the Florida Department of Commerce and the Florida PALM Project to develop technical solutions tailored to user needs.
- Leverage expertise in supported program areas and a comprehensive understanding of Florida PALM systems and capabilities.
- Assess current operational processes to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for automation and system improvements.
- Lead the redesign and documentation of business processes to accommodate new technology implementations.
- Translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and manage updates to those specifications.
- Stay informed of technological trends to recommend and implement solutions that enhance the department s competitive advantage.
- Support tasks related to the transition and integration with the Florida PALM Project.
- Assist in converting internal processes from MS Access and SQL Server to platforms such as SQL Server Analysis Services, Alteryx, SharePoint, and Tableau to ensure critical processes and reports function post-PALM launch.
- Sustain project momentum and readiness activities for the transition to Florida PALM.
- Utilize knowledge and experience with Florida PALM, including its implementation timeline and readiness workplan.
- Manage and complete complex IT and business projects, applying relevant technical and business experience.
Salary : $70 - $75
