Job Overview
La Mesa is looking for a dedicated Senior Escrow Manager to run an escrow desk. This role involves managing the end-to-end process of real estate and loan transactions, ensuring smooth and professional interactions with all parties involved. Your ability to manage the closing process efficiently will contribute significantly to our success in the real estate market. This person will need to be able to drive into our La Mesa office 3 days/week.

As the first and final point of contact for customers and clients, the Senior Escrow Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining the company’s reputation and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. By maintaining professional conduct in all interactions and providing timely feedback to business leaders, the Senior Escrow Officer will help drive continuous improvement and uphold the company’s standards of excellence.

Duties

  • Closing Process: Facilitate a professional closing experience, including obtaining appropriate signatures, handling funds, and meeting all title and lender requirements.
  • Document Preparation: Review contracts, title commitments, and lender instructions to prepare settlement statements and necessary real estate documents for closing.
  • Fund Management: Hold and disburse funds according to escrow instructions, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
  • Proactive Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with all parties involved in the real estate transaction throughout the life cycle of the file. Provide timely and accurate feedback to business leaders to support continuous improvement.
  • Document Recording: Prepare documents for recording to ensure legal compliance and proper documentation.
  • Quality Control: Oversee policy issuance to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Business Development: Build and maintain relationships with Realtors and industry professionals to continuously grow business opportunities.
  • Team Mentorship.

Requirements

  • Has a current and active Escrow License in the state of California
  • Demonstrates complete knowledge and ability to handle a Real Estate transaction from receipt of contract to funding and disbursement.
  • Solid knowledge of title insurance, regulatory guidelines, legal documents and real property law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent people skills.
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to job.
  • Demonstrated superior customer service skills.
  • Ability to keep learning and stay abreast of Real Estate trends.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts (e.g., statistical inferences), the fundamentals of geometry, and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios to practical situations.
  • Excellent computer skills in Closing Software (Qualia a plus), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel,), Adobe Suite and Google Workplace

Not Required

  • No book of business is required. We have our own book of business and a growing network of clients, with opportunities to expand further through our existing relationships, which we expect to happen.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base compensation: $75k with total comp range $100-$140k including monthly bonuses
  • Health, dental, vision (we cover 75% of base plan), and life insurance
  • Company 401k program
  • Paid Time Off starting at 14 days per year that grows with tenure
