We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in underground utility and heavy civil construction to join our growing team in Mesa, Arizona. The ideal candidate is a driven leader who can successfully manage projects from pre-construction through closeout while maintaining strong communication with clients, field teams, subcontractors, and internal leadership.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in underground utility and heavy civil construction to join our growing team in Mesa, Arizona. The ideal candidate is a driven leader who can successfully manage projects from pre-construction through closeout while maintaining strong communication with clients, field teams, subcontractors, and internal leadership.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of underground utility and heavy civil construction projects from budgeting through closeout
- Oversee project schedules, procurement, manpower planning, and resource allocation
- Track project costs, budgets, forecasting, and WIP reporting
- Coordinate with Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and owners to ensure successful project execution
- Monitor field progress to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and project documentation
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication across all departments
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Mentor and support Project Engineers and other project support staff
- Travel to project sites as needed throughout Arizona and surrounding areas
- 3–5 years of experience in a Project Manager role within heavy civil construction
- Proven experience managing underground wet utility projects including sewer, water, and storm drain systems
- Strong understanding of civil construction means and methods
- Experience managing budgets, forecasting, scheduling, and project financials
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and contracts
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred
