Human Resources Manager
Our client in Southern California is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to support a multi-location workforce in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties
- Ensure compliance with California labor laws and federal regulations
- Oversee HR audits, personnel files, and required training/certifications
- Manage workers’ compensation claims and safety programs
- Handle employee relations, including investigations, write-ups, and terminations
- Support managers with performance management and employee issues
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and final pay coordination
- Maintain HR records, PTO tracking, and operational compliance
- Partner with payroll on garnishments, claims, and reporting requirements
- Administer benefits, including enrollments, changes, and annual renewals
- Act as primary HR contact for leadership and operational teams
Requirements
- 5 years of HR management experience
- Experience in multi-location or high-volume environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of California labor laws and compliance
- Experience with employee relations and workers’ compensation
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams a plus)
