Plant Controller

Responsibilities

A Kforce client located in Findlay, OH is looking to hire a highly skilled and experienced Plant Controller to lead financial operations at their manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, strategic budget management, and compliance with accounting standards. • Plant Controller will develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Oversee preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports
• Lead the accounting team across AP, AR, payroll, and cost accounting functions
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking to drive operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations; liaise with auditors and tax authorities
• Monitor and optimize cash flow and financing activities
• Partner with department heads to align financial strategies with business goals
• As a Plant Controller, you will maintain and report on financial KPIs and performance metrics
• Continuously improve financial systems and processes
• Support capital investment decisions and long-term financial planning
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred
• 7 years of proven experience in a Controller role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong command of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Effective leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience in cost accounting and inventory management is a plus
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
