Software Engineer (Java/Angular)

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Midvale, UT that is seeking a Software Engineer (Java/Angular). As a Software Engineer, you will design and build scalable, secure digital experiences across multiple platforms while collaborating closely with product, design, and business partners. Summary: Our client has an opportunity for a Full Stack Software Engineer with strong Java and Angular/JavaScript experience to join a Digital Strategy team focused on expanding digital and mobile banking capabilities using modern technologies. This role supports high-visibility, entrepreneurial initiatives backed by the scale and stability of a large financial institution. This is a hybrid role based in the Salt Lake City area, with an expectation of onsite collaboration several days per week. Responsibilities:

• Develop full-stack solutions using Java, Angular, and related technologies
• Design and integrate internal and external APIs (REST, GraphQL)
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and SDLC activities
• Write clean, well-documented code; perform code reviews and follow secure coding best practices
• Collaborate with Product Management and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
• Create reusable components and templates to support business objectives
• Document and demo features for stakeholders
• Model and document application, data, and process flows (UML/BPMN a plus)
• Research and recommend modern tools, frameworks, and platform enhancements
• Support cloud-based solutions across public, private, and hybrid environments
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team best practices
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 4 years of Java development experience
• 3 years of Angular experience
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform from a development/build perspective (2 years)
• Experience with GitHub and modern CI/CD practices
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Able to work a hybrid schedule (approximately 3 days onsite per week)
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
