LIMS Software Engineer - Remote

Responsibilities

Kforce is working with a well-known client in search of a LIMS Software Engineer - (Remote) to join their team. Summary: In this role, the LIMS Software Engineer will work with a cloud-based enterprise Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), assisting with configuration, reporting, and development tasks. They will collaborate with technical and scientific teams, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of critical enterprise applications. What You'll Do:

• Act as the first point of contact for system issues, troubleshooting and escalating as needed
• Assist with configuration and testing within StarLIMS v12 environments
• Support development of reports and dashboards using tools like Crystal - Reports and Advanced Analytics
• Collaborate with analysts and senior engineers to translate user requests into technical solutions
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage tasks in Jira and Confluence
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related STEM field (or equivalent experience)
• At least 2 years of experience supporting enterprise applications or databases
• Familiarity with relational databases and ability to write SQL queries
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with StarLIMS or other LIMS platforms
• Knowledge of scripting languages, HTML, or JavaScript
• Experience creating dashboards or reports in tools like Crystal Reports
• Exposure to laboratory workflows or regulated environments
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
