Kforce has a client in Reston, VA that is seeking an AP/AR Lead. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable (AP):
- Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment execution
- Review and approve vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payment runs (ACH, check, wire)
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, approval matrices, and documentation requirements
- Maintain vendor records, including onboarding, updates, and W-9 documentation
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Oversee customer billing, invoicing, and application of cash receipts
- Review and approve cash application, unapplied cash, and AR adjustments
- Monitor aging reports and support collection efforts as needed
- Resolve billing discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams and external customers
- Ensure accurate customer records and contract or billing data are maintained
- Experience with both AP and AR
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
- Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
