The Teen Director at the Kenosha YMCA has primary impact in overall quality and effectiveness of all teen programming to include: the YMCA Teen Tech Center, Teen Achievers, Works Programming, Teen Summer Parks Program, STEM Lab programming, and all future teen program development. Responsibilities include overseeing the development and administration of the teen department; leading program development, implementation, evaluation, and promotion; and ensuring effective staff scheduling, training, and supervision.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of and skill in the application of recognized theories, practices, and techniques associated with teen programming.
- CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Ability to maintain effective, positive public relations
- Ability to plan, assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of others
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prepare, maintain, and present accurate reports and records
- A high sense of responsibility and initiative to work independently and productively without supervision
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Excellent computer skills and willingness to learn Word, Excel, and ACTIVE software
