Senior Revenue Consultant

Location: Somerville, MA (transitioning to Boston, MA in July/August) – ~2 days/week onsite preferred

Compensation: $60–80/hour

Duration: Initial 3–6 months with strong potential for extension

Overview

A fast-growing, post-acquisition organization is seeking a Senior SaaS Revenue / ASC 606 Consultant to support increasing complexity across revenue accounting and operations. This is a highly visible, hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and tactical execution, with immediate impact on close processes, deal structuring, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review complex SaaS contracts and apply ASC 606 (including SSP analysis, allocation, and revenue timing)
• Support month-end and quarter-end close:
• Prepare journal entries
• Manage revenue and deferred revenue schedules
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis
• Partner cross-functionally with Deal Desk, Sales Operations, and Legal on non-standard deal structures
• Work directly within NetSuite ARM:
• Create and manage revenue arrangements
• Perform allocations and troubleshoot issues
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities

Required Qualifications

• Deep, recent experience with ASC 606 in a SaaS environment (required)
• Strong, hands-on experience with NetSuite ARM (not just exposure)
• Proven ability to manage complex, non-standard revenue arrangements
• Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, reconciliations, large datasets)
• Ability to ramp quickly and operate independently with minimal oversight
• Exposure to process optimization and automation initiatives
