Procurement Manager

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is partnering with a well-established organization in the Greater Portland area to identify an experienced Procurement & Risk Manager. This is a broad role combining vendor management, purchasing, risk management, insurance, contract support, and process improvement.

The good faith compensation range is $120,000 - $140,000 DOE.

Responsibilities

• Manage organizational insurance programs and support ongoing risk assessment and mitigation efforts
• Analyze claims, exposure, and loss information to identify trends and recommend improvements
• Develop and manage vendor sourcing and bidding processes, including evaluating proposals and negotiating pricing and terms
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, service providers, insurance partners, and other external stakeholders
• Support contract review and ensure purchasing and vendor agreements meet organizational requirements
• Develop and maintain procedures, guidelines, and training related to risk management and purchasing
• Partner with internal departments and leadership to improve purchasing practices, manage risk, and support efficient operations
• Manage budgets and reporting related to insurance, procurement, and organizational risk
• Research regulations, policies, and other requirements and help ensure compliance
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on vendor, purchasing, insurance, and risk-related matters
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
• 5 years of experience in procurement, risk management, insurance, vendor management, or a related field
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing vendors and service providers
• Ability to analyze data and develop recommendations based on risk and financial information
• Strong understanding of contracts, compliance, and risk management practices
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Insurance or risk management certification is a plus
