Senior Manager, Cost Accounting

KBW has partnered with a well-established and highly complex manufacturing organization seeking a cost accounting leader to manage the function and provide financial insight into manufacturing performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage standard costing, including annual standard cost rolls, cost updates, and product costing.
• Analyze material, labor, overhead, PPV, and manufacturing variances and identify key cost drivers.
• Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliations, reserves, and COGS reporting.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to identify cost risks, savings opportunities, and performance improvements.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close and external audit requirements.
• Strengthen cost accounting processes, controls, reporting, and analytics.
• Manage, mentor, and develop members of the cost accounting team.
• Leverage data and analytics to improve manufacturing performance and support business decision-making.
• Contribute to broader cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
  
  

Requirements

• Significant experience in cost accounting within a large, complex manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with large ERP systems.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
• Complex Equipment Manufacturing
• Other large-scale manufacturing environments
• CPA, CMA, or MBA
• AI, Copilot, or automation experience
  
  

Compensation: $160,000-180,000 plus bonus and benefits.
