Responsibilities
Accounting & Month-End Close
- Perform daily and weekly cash accounting and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain reconciliations and support schedules for prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and general ledger accounts
- Record journal entries and assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Prepare month-end reporting packages and supporting schedules
- Manage fixed asset accounting including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and tracking
- Support ongoing accounting operations related to general expenses and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with annual audits and support external auditors with requested documentation and schedules
- Support tax filings and compliance-related accounting activities
- Maintain reporting calendars and complete required filings and submissions
- Partner with teams across the organization to gather information and support account reconciliations
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects, analysis, and reporting requests
- Utilize advanced Excel functionality including pivot tables, formulas, and reporting tools to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 3 years of accounting experience with exposure to general ledger accounting and month-end close
- Public accounting experience is a plus
- Construction and/or software industry experience preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and general accounting processes
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and complex formulas
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
