Seeking an experienced and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support for a 10 year old girl in Tualatin. Approximately 20 hours a week.
She is smart, kind, sweet, a good reader and gives the best hugs. She enjoys being with her family, reading and playing video games such as minecraft and pokemon. She is needing help practicing age appropriate hygiene skills in bathing and toileting, help ensuring she completes toileting hygiene (wiping, flushing, washing her hands, etc), reminders to take small bites when eating, help clipping her nails, help learning to regulate her emotions when dysregulated, practicing safety techniques in the community including street safety and stranger danger, and someone to play games with her. DSP must be LGBTQ friendly and have experience working with kids and high behaviors. There is a dog and no smoking in the home.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 2:20pm-6:30pm
- The days are flexible if you’re unable to work all five days.
- Approximately 20 hours a week
Candidate Must have-
- Communication skills requiring patience and understanding
- Ability to provide occasional assistance with daily tasks

As a Kangaroo Caregiver, you will provide in home assistance with activities of daily living (ADL’s) to support and maximize our client’s quality of life. Kangaroo Care delivers the training and resources to give our caregivers top-quality skills in a meaningful work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help plan and assist in preparing some meals, including serving, if necessary
- Assist with dressing, grooming
- Assist in daily living activities and needs
- Participate in life enriching activities
- A caregiver may assist with medication reminders
- Complete required shift notes and scheduling via our caregiver app
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Record and report changes in client’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
