Seeking an experienced and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support for a 4 year old boy in Beaverton, up to 36 hours a week.
He is needing help with personal care such as toileting (changing diapers), dressing, and bathing; feeding and meal preparation; working on communication skills; engaging in play-based learning; providing opportunities for sensory play; and offering safety support in the community. On occasion, he may need to be picked up and carried short distances. They are looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable DSP who enjoys working with young children and can keep up with a very active little guy. The ideal DSP will be patient, playful, attentive, and able to keep him engaged in fun and meaningful activities throughout the day. There are dogs and cannabis smoking in the home.
Schedule:
- Thursday-Sunday 2:00pm-11:00pm
- Flexible schedule
- Up to 36 hours a week
Candidate Must have
- Communication skills requiring patience and understanding
- Ability to provide occasional assistance with daily tasks

As a Kangaroo Caregiver, you will provide in home assistance with activities of daily living (ADL’s) to support and maximize our client’s quality of life. Kangaroo Care delivers the training and resources to give our caregivers top-quality skills in a meaningful work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help plan and assist in preparing some meals, including serving, if necessary
- Assist with dressing, grooming
- Assist in daily living activities and needs
- Participate in life enriching activities
- A caregiver may assist with medication reminders
- Complete required shift notes and scheduling via our caregiver app
- Maintain client confidentiality
Record and report changes in client’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance
Pay: $24.00 per hour
