What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Caregiver/CNA ($24-$25hr ) #AC0721 position at Kangaroo Care?
Seeking an experienced and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support for a 1 year old girl in Newberg. Approximately 8-10 hours per week. She is a happy and silly girl with a wonderful personality though medically fragile. Her binky, soft blankets, noises from her rattle and her family are what matter most to her right now. She is needing help with G-tube feedings every 3 hours, giving meds via her G-tube, working on her fine motor skills, practicing sign language/speaking, and changing her diapers, DSP should have some level of medical training, such as a nursing student or CNA and be ok being trained to give food and meds via her G-tube. No pets or smoking in the home.
Schedule:
- Fridays & Saturdays; 9:00am-2:00pm
- Approximately 10 hours a week
Candidate Must Have:
- Communication skills requiring patience and understanding
- Ability to provide occasional assistance with daily tasks

As a Kangaroo Caregiver, you will provide in home assistance with activities of daily living (ADL’s) to support and maximize our client’s quality of life. Kangaroo Care delivers the training and resources to give our caregivers top-quality skills in a meaningful work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help plan and assist in preparing some meals, including serving, if necessary
- Assist with dressing, grooming
- Assist in daily living activities and needs
- Participate in life enriching activities
- A caregiver may assist with medication reminders
- Complete required shift notes and scheduling via our caregiver app
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Record and report changes in client’s physical condition, behavior, or appearance
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
