Position: Travel Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Hilo, HI

Pay: $1,920/week

Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare or equivalent setting required.

Education: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nurse program; active Hawaii LPN license required.

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Travel Licensed Practical Nurse to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Provide compassionate hospice and palliative care to patients and families in home and facility settings.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and LPN standards of practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Conduct patient assessments and accurately document observations and interventions.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and administration of controlled medications.
• Participate in care coordination meetings and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Uphold the mission and values of Hawaii Care Choices while delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
  
  

Position Requirements:

• Current Hawaii LPN license and valid CPR certification required.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in hospice or palliative care.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage patient care independently across multiple locations (home-to-home travel required).
• Sensitivity to cultural, religious, and emotional needs of patients and families.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation.
• Professional demeanor with consistent maintenance of appropriate boundaries.
