JURISolutions is partnering with our corporate client to identify an experienced and mission-driven attorney to serve as strategic advisor on legal matters related to the company’s philanthropy, charitable giving, nonprofit partnerships, employee giving programs, sponsorships, and community engagement efforts. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in nonprofit law, IRS compliance, and risk management, along with a passion for purpose-driven corporate citizenship. The chosen candidate will work cross-functionally with corporate social responsibility, environmental, social and governance as well as finance teams to ensure that impact initiatives are legally sound, and are aligned with corporate values.

Critical Areas Of Responsibility
- Provide legal counsel on charitable contributions, cause marketing campaigns, and strategic nonprofit partnerships.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to grants, charitable donations, sponsorships, and community investments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including:
- IRS rules for 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations
- State charitable solicitation and registration laws
- OFAC, FCPA, and anti-terrorism regulations for global giving
- Advise on internal policies for:
- Employee giving and volunteer programs
- Corporate foundation governance
- Ethical storytelling and brand use with nonprofit partners
- Support legal oversight of the company’s foundation or donor-advised funds
- Collaborate on impact measurement, ESG reporting, and legal risk assessments for social initiatives
- Monitor emerging legal developments in the philanthropic, nonprofit, and ESG spaces Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 5–10 years of relevant legal experience, including in-house, law firm, or nonprofit legal counsel roles
- Demonstrated expertise in nonprofit law, charitable giving, and grantmaking compliance
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills; detail-oriented and practical legal judgment
- Experience navigating complex, cross-functional corporate environments
