JURISolutions is seeking a Healthcare Regulatory Associate (3-5 years’ experience) to join our mid-sized law firm client, in Richmond, VA.
This associate will defend healthcare practitioners in licensing and credentialing matters with the Department of Health, Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), third party payers, hospital systems and related entities. Job duties include providing legal representation for practitioners in licensing Board investigations, including informal and formal administrative hearings, and for matters related to DEA certificates of registration, as well as show cause hearings. Responsibilities will also include managing audits and appeals involving DMAS, CMS and third-party payers; assisting with credentialing by third-party payers and hospital medical staff; advising on credentialing issues and peer review processes; ensuring compliance with laws and regulation, risk management, medical record documentation, HIPAA, and cybersecurity issues.
Candidates must be actively licensed in Virginia. They should have direct knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing health care providers and experience with False Claims Act issues and Stark/Anti-Kickback compliance.
This is a full-time direct hire role with our client. Candidates are expected to be onsite full-time in Richmond, VA.
