Role Overview
The Plant Operator is responsible for coordinating and managing daily batching and production activities to ensure consistent and timely delivery of ready-mix concrete. This role supports operational efficiency, safety compliance, and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage ready-mix concrete batching systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and applicable regulations
- Coordinate plant operations, equipment maintenance, and driver activities
- Monitor production schedules and adjust operations as needed
- Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate operational logs and reports
- Support team coordination, training, and performance monitoring
- Promote a safe and compliant work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3–5 years of experience in construction or related industry (ready-mix experience preferred)
- Experience in plant operations, dispatch systems, or similar environments
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Basic computer proficiency (spreadsheets, email, data entry)
