About the Role
We are hiring a Maintenance Operations Supervisor on behalf of one of our clients. This role is responsible for overseeing operations at a waste tire processing facility, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining cost efficiency, safety, and equipment reliability.
You will manage daily operations, supervise teams, and optimize maintenance and production processes in a 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and oversee mobile and tire shredding equipment
- Manage and optimize 24/7 operational schedules
- Ensure equipment is operated to maximize productivity and lifespan
- Plan and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) schedules
- Act as backup to the Facility Manager when required
- Monitor and maintain KPIs including production reports, shift logs, and maintenance records
- Schedule and oversee maintenance activities, including wear part replacements and repairs
- Conduct mobile equipment inspections and coordinate repairs
- Coordinate with third-party transportation teams for logistics and trailer management
- Address non-routine operational issues and ensure smooth facility operations
- Interface with internal teams, customers, visitors, and transporters
- Lead training programs for equipment operation and safety
- Supervise, schedule, train, and develop team members
- Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree OR 3–5 years of equivalent experience
Preferred Field of Study:
- Sciences, Business, or a related field
Experience
- 3–5 years of operational experience in a technical or industrial environment (preferably waste management)
- 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in industrial maintenance
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project)
- SAP experience preferred
