About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Planner II on behalf of one of our clients to enhance the efficiency and productivity of maintenance operations at a cement plant. This role focuses on planning and managing complex maintenance projects, ensuring all work is well-prepared, cost-effective, and executed efficiently.
You will play a key role in developing detailed job plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring maintenance strategies are effectively implemented.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and manage complex maintenance projects from initiation to execution
- Develop detailed job plans including scope, technical specifications, safety procedures, tools, parts, and labor requirements
- Ensure all preparatory work is completed prior to scheduling maintenance activities
- Manage and update maintenance data within the Maintenance Management System (SAP or similar)
- Maintain accuracy of master data including part numbers, BOMs, and work order history
- Support implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to validate work orders and optimize execution plans
- Estimate and forecast costs for parts, labor, and services
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure material availability
- Lead annual maintenance budgeting and monthly forecasting activities
- Identify process improvements and collaborate with team members to enhance efficiency
- Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience
- OR
- High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of equivalent experience
Preferred Field:
- Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning or related roles
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office
- Experience with SAP or maintenance management systems preferred
Additional Requirements

- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Travel:
- Up to 10%
