Melt Shop Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Our client, a leading industrial organization specializing in melt shop operations, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. As a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Melt Shop team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to maintenance management, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Melt Shop Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Beaumont, Texas

Pay Range: $100k - $110k plus bonus

What's the Job?

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for melt shop equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Lead a team of 20 skilled millwrights to ensure optimal operation and safety standards are maintained.
• Implement and prioritize preventive maintenance programs for critical melt shop machinery such as cranes, scrap handling equipment, and HVAC systems.
• Investigate equipment failures, diagnose issues, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations.
  
  

What's Needed?

• Formal training in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with 8 to 10 years of heavy mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience supervising maintenance teams in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of melt shop equipment including cranes, furnaces, EAF, LHF, BOF, and casting systems.
• Union experience, particularly with United Steelworkers, is a significant plus.
• Strong leadership skills, safety awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
