Job Title: Melt Shop Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Beaumont, Texas
Pay Range: $100k - $110k plus bonus
What's the Job?
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for melt shop equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Lead a team of 20 skilled millwrights to ensure optimal operation and safety standards are maintained.
- Implement and prioritize preventive maintenance programs for critical melt shop machinery such as cranes, scrap handling equipment, and HVAC systems.
- Investigate equipment failures, diagnose issues, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations.
- Formal training in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with 8 to 10 years of heavy mechanical maintenance experience.
- Experience supervising maintenance teams in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of melt shop equipment including cranes, furnaces, EAF, LHF, BOF, and casting systems.
- Union experience, particularly with United Steelworkers, is a significant plus.
- Strong leadership skills, safety awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
