About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Specialist with a strong background in the lighting industry to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that all lighting products meet our company’s quality standards, industry regulations, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate has hands‐on experience with lighting fixtures, components, electrical standards, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct detailed inspections of lighting products, components, and assemblies throughout the production process
• Perform functional testing, including electrical, photometric, and mechanical evaluations
• Identify defects, non‐conformities, and root causes; document findings and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues
• Maintain and update QC documentation, inspection reports, and testing records
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as UL, ETL, CE, RoHS, and other regulatory requirements
• Monitor supplier quality and incoming materials to ensure consistency and reliability
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects
• Train production staff on quality standards, inspection procedures, and best practices
Qualifications
• Minimum 2–3 years of QC experience in the lighting industry (LED fixtures, drivers, controls, or related products)
• Strong understanding of lighting components, electrical systems, and manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with industry certifications and testing protocols (UL, ETL, LM‐79, LM‐80, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Proficient in using measurement tools, testing equipment, and QC software
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‐functionally
• Problem‐solving mindset with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action processes
Preferred Skills
• Experience with LED driver testing, photometric testing, or lighting controls
• Knowledge of ISO quality management systems
• Background in manufacturing or assembly environments
