ISS is seeking a Safety Manager to support an active construction project near Boardman, OR. This role will provide field-based safety leadership across ongoing operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and promoting a strong, proactive safety culture across the jobsite.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on safety professional with strong field experience, capable of working independently, influencing crews, and supporting multiple trades in a dynamic construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily field safety leadership across active construction operations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
- Oversee excavation and trenching safety practices and controls
- Work directly with labor crews and subcontractors to reinforce safe work behaviors
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions in real time
- Lead or support incident investigations and documentation
- Communicate effectively with site leadership, including the superintendent and project teams
- Drive a proactive, solution-oriented safety culture on site
Required Qualifications
- Experience in construction safety, with emphasis on trenching and excavation
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and jobsite safety practices
- Ability to operate independently and provide leadership in a field-driven environment
- Proven ability to identify hazards and implement practical safety solutions
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting data center or mission-critical projects
- Familiarity with excavation, underground utilities, and pipework scopes
- OSHA 30, CHST, or similar certifications (preferred, not required)
Work Environment & Schedule
- Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Some Saturdays required
- 50–60 hours per week
- Primarily field-based role supporting active construction operations
- Exposure to outdoor conditions and active jobsite environments
Additional Requirements
- Ability to operate site equipment such as UTVs
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment
- PPE provided by client; additional specialized PPE may be required

Compensation
- Pay Rate: $50/hour
- Per Diem (if applicable): $150/day
