Construction Safety Technician (High-Profile Project, Night Shift)
Location: Cape Canaveral, FL

Overview
ISS is seeking a Construction Safety Technician to support a high-profile industrial construction project in Cape Canaveral, FL. This is a field-intensive role supporting multiple trades in a dynamic and technically complex environment.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, solutions-oriented safety professional who understands OSHA regulations, can operate independently, and is comfortable working in physically demanding conditions. This role requires strong field presence, adaptability, and the ability to address safety challenges in real time proactively.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily field safety support across active construction operations
- Monitor job-site activities to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Work directly with trades including pipe welders, civil crews, steel erectors, plumbers, and electrical teams
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions in real time
- Support incident prevention, reporting, and basic investigations
- Communicate effectively with field personnel and site leadership
- Provide practical, solution-based safety guidance in a fast-paced environment
Required Qualifications
- Experience in construction or industrial safety environments
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices
- Ability to operate independently in a field-driven environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work extended hours in a demanding project environment
- Physically capable of climbing and navigating elevated structures, including extended stair access (~500 feet)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects
- Experience supporting multiple trades simultaneously
- OSHA 30, CHST, or other relevant certifications (preferred but not required)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Field-based role supporting active construction operations
- Exposure to outdoor conditions, including heat and humidity
- Requires climbing and navigating elevated structures (e.g., tower access)
- Must be able to work long shifts and maintain situational awareness
Project Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 6 months
- Project Status: Approximately 50% complete
- Schedule:
- Up to 6 days per week
- 12-hour shifts (day or night available)
- Schedule flexibility based on project needs
Compensation & Perks
- Pay Rate: $50/hour
- Per Diem: $125/day

Additional Details
- Selected candidate may operate a UTV (utility vehicle) on-site
