Job Summary:
As a Training Manager you will work with the corporate Xanterra team and the Director of L&D to implement change using effective change management strategy, develop and manage new programs and projects, design a strategic learning and development road-map, and introduce alternative approaches to learning using innovative technology and tools.

Responsibilities
- Oversee onboarding, training, and support systems for instructional staff across all Yellowstone departments.
- Observe, assess, and improve instructional effectiveness of all YNP learning programs.
- Facilitate management training sessions and identify opportunities to strengthen leadership skills.
- Partner with the L&D Director to plan and deliver Train the Trainer events promoting best practices in facilitation and coaching.
- Design and manage a year-round orientation program with coordination from corporate instructional designers and content teams.
- Evaluate and refine training programs to align with business goals and uphold Xanterra’s mission and values.
- Supervise and develop the L&D Trainer team, managing schedules, performance, and professional growth.
- Conduct data analysis and needs assessments, advise stakeholders, and maintain consistent, high-quality, branded learning materials.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and practical experience in effective management skills, including demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships, hire, retain and grow direct reports.
- Knowledge and concern for organizational and employee issues.
- Knowledge of learning theory and learner-centered design concepts.
- Collaborative work style with other team members, regularly seeking input and providing feedback on the department’s projects. Able to work as part of a creative team.
- Exceptional facilitation, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to consistently represent Department and Company in positive and professional manner.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office programs. Skills or aptitude to expand computer skills in use of learning design and delivery tools and reporting platforms.
- Ability to relate to a broad cross-section of employees and convey concepts in an understandable, applicable manner.
- Ability to assess the understanding of course materials by the employees and evaluate each employee’s level of comprehension of subject matter.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements include:
- Ability to sit and do computer work for extended periods, up to eight hours a day.
- Ability to transport materials by vehicle, walking, and stair climbing to training delivery spaces at high elevations.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
