We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Processor to join our team. In this role, you will manage and process employee payroll accurately and on time, ensure compliance with payroll regulations, maintain confidential records, and serve as a key liaison between Human Resources, Finance, and employees.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions
- Process payroll accurately and on a timely basis using ADP.
- Manage all aspects of payroll operations, including entering and transferring client orders, organizing and inputting time records, verifying client visits, calculating employee pay, and applying appropriate deductions.
- Investigate, reconcile, and resolve payroll discrepancies or errors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Administer wage garnishments, tax levies, and other court-ordered deductions in accordance with legal requirements.
- Issue manual payroll checks as needed.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide support in resolving payroll-related questions or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll tax regulations, including proper withholding and reporting.
- Monitor, track, and reconcile employee PTO and sick leave balances.
- Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate payroll data and timely reporting.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance payroll processes and operational efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance when handling Personal Health Information (PHI) in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of payroll processing experience, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred.
- Experience using ADP preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong numerical aptitude and ability to perform calculations accurately.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple tasks, shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and heavy workloads.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a typical office environment.
- Position is primarily sedentary and may require occasional lifting or carrying of up to 10 pounds.
