Supply Chain Planner

• Location: Bothell, WA, 98021
• Contract: 6 month contract, potential for extension or conversion based on performance
• Pay: $30-$35/hr

Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Buyer Planner to join our dynamic Supply Chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring fabricated and optical components, ensuring timely delivery and optimal inventory levels to support production schedules. Your expertise in sourcing specialized materials like CNC machined parts, sheet metal fabrications, 3D printed components, and optical elements will be crucial to our success.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and execute purchasing activities for fabricated and optical components
2. Analyze demand forecasts and production plans to determine material requirements.
3. Source and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating favorable pricing and lead times.
4. Issue purchase requests and track order confirmations, ensuring on-time delivery.
5. Monitor inventory levels across locations and adjust orders as needed to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, production, procurement) to ensure material specifications and quality standards are met.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in purchasing and materials planning, with a focus on fabricated and/or optical components.
3. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, 3D printing, and optical fabrication.
4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
6. APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
