Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Process Safety Management (PSM) Engineer for a chemical processing company located in Torrington, CT. In this role, the ideal candidate will have experience with all PSM and environmental regulatory requirements by developing, implementing, and maintaining site-specific Process Safety Management (PSM) and EH&S programs in accordance with OSHA, US EPA, and local regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure regulatory compliance by developing, implementing, and maintaining OSHA PSM and EH&S programs to protect employees, visitors, contractors, and the environment.
- Coordinate PSM program development by providing technical support, resolving regulatory issues, and preparing for integration with EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP).
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis by collecting process data, identifying causal factors, and documenting corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage audits and compliance activities by driving timely closure of PSM findings, conducting MOC and PSSR reviews, and maintaining documentation for audit readiness.
- Deliver safety and process training on topics such as process safety awareness, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance.
Required Skills & Experience
- BA/BS in chemical, mechanical, environment engineering
- 5 years of experience with process safety management practices in relevant industry (chemical/nuclear/medical)
- Experience implementing process/safety elements and requirements
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- OSHA certifications
- Experience or background in EH&S
- Experience working and communicating with vendors and customers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary range; 110,000k - 120,000k
