JOB DESCRIPTIONAn employer is looking for a Patient Access Rep in the Emergency Room setting. This individual will be cross trained on Patient Access activities for patients throughout the Medical Center in different areas/”pods” of the Emergency Services area. Patient Access Representatives facilitate a positive patient experience by managing tasks such as insurance verification, benefits determination, and financial clearance. They handle responsibilities across Patient Access, Scheduling, Pre-Registration, Financial Counseling, and more while maintaining all HIPAA compliance requirements. Strong social skills are essential for effective communication with patients and clinical staff in a demanding healthcare environment. This will be on site and must work every other weekend. There are two shifts open - the evening shift from 3-11:30pm and the overnight shift from 11pm-7:30am. Please note: training will be 11am-7:30pm.
