Insight Global is seeking a Stormwater Inspector to join a growing Public Works team for a client in Petersburg, VA.
Location: Petersburg, VA 23803
Type: 6-month contract to hire
Pay: $25-27/hour depending on experience
Hours: 8:30 AM-5PM Monday to Friday ( /- 1 hour preference)
This individual will be supporting their engineering and storm water management program and responsible for technical and administrative tasks associated with implementing environmental and engineering programs to provide a desired level of service and to ensure compliance with local, state and federal laws. Other responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the review of site and development plans and the daily site inspection of multiple construction projects to ensure compliance with local, state and federal codes and standards.
- Performs site construction, erosion & sediment control, and BMP inspections in support of the city's E&S, MS4 and VSMP Permit Programs.
Mileage reimbursement
MUST HAVE
- familiarity with Virginia’s MS4 ( Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System and VSMP (VA Stormwater Management Program) permit requirements
- comfortable passing a full-life criminal background check and 10-panel drug screen (including THC)
