Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years of electrification engineering experience
- Experience designing and developing high-voltage electrical systems
- Strong understanding of electrical system analysis, design, and validation
- Experience supporting prototype, pilot, or production builds
- Ability to create and process engineering documentation, change notices, and design changes
Plusses:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5-10 years of electrification experience (target range)
- Automotive or heavy-duty vehicle electrification experience
- Familiarity with Controller Area Network (CAN) and SAE J1939 protocols
- Experience with programming languages and controls software
- Automotive High Voltage Training and/or Certifications
- Knowledge of power electronics and electric machines
- Experience with energy storage systems (battery technologies)
- Exposure to vehicle electrical architecture development
Day-to-Day:
- Design and develop high-voltage electrical systems and subsystems for heavy-duty vehicles
- Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and investigations
- Support electrical system design, integration, and validation efforts
- Work with internal engineering teams and external suppliers to meet design requirements
- Assist with prototype builds, pilot programs, and production issue resolution
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and change notices
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
