CPA / Accountant – Fashion & Retail
Location: Secaucus, NJ | Experience: 2–5 Years | Industry: Fashion & Retail
We are looking for a CPA / Accountant to support a fashion and retail brand. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of accounting experience with a strong background in fashion, apparel, retail, e-commerce, or consumer brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage GL, journal entries, AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Prepare financial statements and accounting reports.
- Support inventory, retail sales, returns, and e-commerce accounting.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, vendor, and sales transactions.
- Assist with audits, tax support, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and accounting policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience.
- CPA license or CPA candidate preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience with fashion/retail or consumer brands strongly preferred.
- Strong Excel and accounting/ERP system skills.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
