Paralegal / Legal Assistant || Indianapolis, IN || Onsite

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support public records requests and legal processes. This role involves reviewing records, applying state laws, preparing documents, and coordinating with legal teams and the public.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and respond to public records requests within deadlines

  • Review and redact law enforcement records per regulations

  • Conduct legal research (statutes, codes, case law)

  • Prepare legal documents for attorney review

  • Support subpoenas and discovery requests

  • Maintain records and case files

  • Communicate with internal teams and the public


  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies OR relevant certification/experience

    • 2 years of paralegal or legal experience (preferred)

    • Knowledge of legal research tools (LexisNexis, Westlaw) is a plus

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

    • Ability to handle confidential information and meet deadlines

Salary : $15 - $20
