Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Specialist to support the design, implementation, and operations of a public cloud environment. This role will work under the guidance of the Public Cloud Specialist Team Lead and collaborate with infrastructure, development, and security teams to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Support cloud migration initiatives and hybrid environment integrations
- Implement automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot cloud-related issues
- Apply security configurations aligned with regulatory standards (NIST, IRS 1075)
- Maintain documentation for cloud architecture, processes, and configurations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud best practices
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–6 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Strong understanding of:
- Compute, storage, networking, and IAM (Identity & Access Management)
- DNS, routing, firewalls, and basic networking concepts
- Security fundamentals including access control and data protection
- Hands-on experience with scripting/automation:
- PowerShell, Python, or Bash
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools:
- Terraform / ARM / CloudFormation
- Ability to troubleshoot and support enterprise cloud environments
- Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, and performance tools
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments (on-prem cloud integration)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST or IRS Publication 1075
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of cloud architecture and deployment best practices
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (Incident/Change/Problem Management)
Nice to Have
- Experience working in regulated environments (government, finance, etc.)
- Knowledge of enterprise cloud deployments and governance models
