Our client is seeking a Senior Contracts Negotiator to support procurement and operational contracting activities across domestic and international projects. This role plays a key part in managing commercial risk, drafting and negotiating complex agreements, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
The position partners closely with Legal, Supply Chain, Finance, Compliance, and operational teams to support exploration, development, and production initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, negotiate, and administer contracts for goods and services, including:
Master Service Agreements
Consulting Agreements
Facilities and operations agreements
Work orders, amendments, and service orders
Assess commercial risk, cost exposure, and value optimization across contractual arrangements
Support competitive bid processes by developing contract templates and reviewing supplier redlines
Provide contractual and commercial guidance to internal stakeholders
Ensure contracts align with company risk tolerance, financial objectives, and regulatory requirements
Maintain awareness of relevant laws, international regulations, and industry standards
Support compliance with anti-corruption regulations, including FCPA
Collaborate with international offices to ensure contracts meet local country requirements and concession laws
8–15 years of contracts experience in offshore oil & gas or a closely related industry
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
Deep understanding of commercial risk, insurance structures, and indemnity provisions
Proven ability to manage complex negotiations and resolve contractual disputes
Experience supporting drilling, development, production, and offshore major capital projects
Background working in international contracting environments
Familiarity with global regulatory and political risk considerations
Strong business judgment and commercial acumen
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
