Location: Evansville, IN (or willing to relocate)
Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $60,000–$75,000 base 1% commission on projects engineered accurately and delivered within budget

Overview
A growing technology and low-voltage systems organization is seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to support opportunities across cable infrastructure, security, surveillance, and access control systems. This role blends technical expertise with customer-facing communication to produce accurate proposals, define scope, and ensure projects are set up for success from the start.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with customers and the sales team to conduct job site visits and confirm scope accuracy
- Engineer sales opportunities and translate requirements into detailed, accurate proposals
- Develop clear scopes of work aligned with customer needs and project specifications
- Provide expert guidance based on hands-on installation, estimating, or engineering experience
- Communicate solutions confidently and build long-term client relationships
- Support project execution by ensuring engineered work stays on budget and meets quality standards
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a Sales Engineer role or similar technical/customer-facing position
- Strong knowledge of cable infrastructure, security, surveillance, and access control systems
- Hands-on background in installation, estimating, engineering, or system design
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
