Reports To: Site Leader

Must-Haves

• 5 years of experience in a modern manufacturing environment
• Proven experience leading a maintenance team or planning/executing maintenance activities
• Strong mechanical and plant operations knowledge with ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Experience driving preventive and corrective maintenance strategies (PM/PPM)
• Ability to analyze equipment data, identify trends, and improve reliability (MTBF/MTTR)
• Experience with permit-to-work systems and safety compliance

• Start-up or new site commissioning experience
• Experience with CMMS systems implementation or optimization
• Background in anaerobic digestion or similar process environments
• Experience with audits, budgeting, or supplier/service contract management
• Six Sigma or process improvement training

About The Role

This is a newly created leadership role at a growing manufacturing start-up site backed by an established international company. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, integrity, and performance of all plant assets to support safe, compliant, and uninterrupted operations.

You will lead a small team (2 direct reports) and play a critical role in building maintenance processes, improving uptime, and driving continuous improvement across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Reliability

• Own and execute the site maintenance strategy, including preventive and corrective programs
• Maximize equipment uptime by improving mean time between failures and reducing repair times
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of long-term solutions
• Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and shutdown activities
• Ensure spare parts inventory is optimized and aligned with operational needs
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and downtime reporting to support data-driven decisions
  
  

Operations Support

• Coordinate daily reactive maintenance and prioritize work to minimize production impact
• Work closely with fabrication/operations teams to ensure efficient equipment performance
• Assist hands-on with maintenance tasks as needed (including outdoor work environments)
• Participate in on-call support and emergency response as required
  
  

Compliance: Safety, Health, Environment & Quality

• Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal safety standards
• Maintain SOPs, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
• Support audits and contractor safety management
  
  

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians
• Plan staffing and training to support a 24/7 operation
• Drive accountability, performance management, and employee development
• Lead team meetings and ensure clear communication of goals and performance
  
  

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements across maintenance and reliability systems
• Support long-term asset planning and budgeting in partnership with Site Leadership
