This role partners closely with the Manufacturing Manager and cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies, implement solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and improve die casting manufacturing processes to increase productivity, quality, and safety
- Lead and support root cause analysis (RCA) efforts and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor process performance metrics such as cycle time, yield, and scrap rates, and implement improvements
- Analyze production data, identify trends, and recommend strategic process enhancements
- Collaborate cross-functionally to introduce new processes, equipment, and technologies on time and within budget
- Provide technical troubleshooting support to resolve process-related issues on the production floor
- Drive cost reduction initiatives, waste minimization, and operational efficiency improvements
- Support and guide production teams through training on new processes, equipment, and procedures
- Ensure proper documentation is established and maintained, including APQP, work instructions, setup procedures, and tooling documentation
- Partner with Product Design teams to ensure manufacturability, quality, and production efficiency
- Manage and support tooling needs including molds, dies, fixtures, and gauges
- Execute projects to meet specifications, timelines, and budget requirements
- Strong technical foundation in manufacturing processes, particularly die casting
- Hands-on experience with process analysis, improvement, and implementation
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively across teams
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement
